🎨 For Design: Photoshop / Illustrator or Canva

Dan’s go-to programmes for all things design work are Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Now, we know that they’re not easily accessible for everyone. So, an alternative that we highly recommend is Canva. It’s a free to use online graphic design tool with a very user-friendly interface. Perfect for making those social media posts, logos, business cards, etc.

💰 For Finance: Xero Accounting

An online accounting software for managing your daily transactions, keeping up to date with your bookkeeping, and organising your financial summaries. There is a fee for a membership, but we think that it’s worth it! Especially for that time of the year when the tax return comes!

🗣 For Socials: Meta Business Suite

There is a wide range of social media platforms out there. But the top two that get the most consistent engagement are always: Instagram and Facebook. We use MBS for planning our social media calendar, scheduling posts for cross-platforms, replying to all messages, and tracking our engagement metrics. We use this daily!

💻 For Everything: Google Workspace

The backbone of our business: Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Photos, Analytics, Business Profile Manager, and so on. To get the most of this service, you do need to pay for memberships. But as your business expands, this is a necessity and important for growth.

We hope this helps you if you're thinking of starting a business!
